The long awaited debut

...y'know. If anyone was waiting. I believe an introduction is in order.

THIS IS THE TORCH:

And with it, I create many things.

My local gallery is having an upcoming exhibition and the following pieces are the two works I submitted for it (with the help of the aforementioned torch). The first is called 'Captive Cicadas'. Real, previously living cicadas, cast in resin and donated from a co-worker of mine, are housed in little copper cages with a liver of sulfur patina. Oh, and they're earrings. :D

I don't know how, but they always look so cute in this photo...

The second is 'Captive Phoenix'. This steam-punky brooch features an original watercolor illustration riveted inside a scrap metal (also donated) border.
